Photographer / Fine Artist

Hannah McGowan is a full time freelance photographer. Her specialties include film photography coupled with documentary, branding, and photojournalism work.

Hannah is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s College with a B.A. in Visual Arts, where she decided to turn her lifelong love of film, the dark room, and the fine arts into a career. Since then she has worked with documentary film crews providing stills and behind the scenes imagery. Her strong love for the working waterfront and agricultural regions of Maine have led her to several storytelling and branding opportunities across the state. Environmental portraiture and documenting authentic moments, especially those in motion, are her favorite things to shoot.

Hannah also works in alternative photography mediums such as cyanotype printing and negative film alterations. Much of this work is based off of her film work on the working waterfront of Maine.

She currently resides in her home state of Maine, USA with her son and her dog, and is available for local and worldwide commissions.
